Honey bees are magnificent creatures. They pollinate plants and provide us with delicious, nutritious honey, royal jelly, and with wax. With a little help from us, honey bees are largely self-supporting and a great additional to a small garden or farm. Cindy Sherman has been raising bees for many years and will share how to get started raising your own hive, how to maintain it, and what potential problems to look out for. Participants will go home with a vast amount of knowledge, handouts to take home, and information on where to order their own bees and hives.
